Q: How do I choose the right DJ?
A: Choosing a DJ is the same as choosing any professional for a service. You should choose a DJ that is organized, informative, knowledgeable, and motivating. Sometimes the best way to choose is by referral or by meeting with the DJ or company in advance. They should gladly answer any questions about experience, music, equipment, presentation, or any others that
you may have.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: Since no two events are the same, we do not list a set price. Prices depend on type of event, time needed for event, location, and special requests. We are fair to all clients and offer prices comparable to other DJ companies in the area. You, the client, are our number one priority and we promise to provide the professionalism and value you require.
Q: What if we want you to stay after the contracted time originally requested?
A: Staying longer is always an option as long as the DJ does not have another commitment. Check with your event location in advance in order to check if the location is available for a longer period of time. If extended time is available you will be billed at a flat rate per hour per the DJ's request.
Q: Is time needed for setup included in the total contracted event time?
A: No. Time needed for setup and breakdown of equipment is not included in the time billed for your event. We will arrive at least 2 hours in advance to setup and perform a sound and light check. This ensures we are ready when your event is ready to start!
Q: What if I am not sure about what music to have played at my event?
A: We always offer a consultation prior to any event. The consultation can be used to go over which types of music your guests will like and for you to look at our music selection and make some personal requests. If you are not available to meet for a consultation, we also offer questionnaires to be filled out prior to your event that offer music requests or types you would like played. We will also be happy to make some suggestions based on the type of event.
Q: Do you have a policy about music containing obscene lyrics?
A: We do all that we can to censor our music. We are aware of which songs contain obscene lyrics and have those songs censored before playing at an event. We understand that you, our client, are in charge of what types of music are to be played. We will not play music with obscene lyrics because a guests requests it. YOU ARE OUR GUEST! Please discuss with us prior to the event about your views on the language of the lyrics.
Q: What is the dress code for the DJ?
A: You as the client can decide which type of dress code you would prefer the DJ to follow. Please discuss this with us prior to your event.
Q: Will the DJ make announcements at the event?
A: Yes, if you request that. Usually wedding events request that the bridal party be introduced, along with the bouquet and garter toss, and introductions of cutting the cake, dances, etc... Please be sure to discuss what type of announcements you would like prior to the event. We would also be happy to make any suggestions.
